Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has claimed prosecutors are spying on him from inside his cell while he awaits trial.
In a new legal filing seen by PeopleHis lawyers have accused prosecutors of using his detention “to spy on him and invade his confidential communications with his lawyer.”
The scandal-hit media mogul is currently behind bars at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center after he was indicted in September.
His latest filing comes after his lawyers previously accused the government of misconduct after his cell was searched at the facility.
In that filing, they said he was part of a pre-planned raid and that they had selected him for a search.
During the search, they claimed a federal investigator photographed Combs’ handwritten notes and then sent them to prosecutors.
‘This disruptive behavior is a flagrant violation of (their) rights. “Prosecutors say the search was motivated by security concerns at MDC, but that is a false pretext,” his lawyers said.
It comes after the 55-year-old was accused last month of obstructing his sex trafficking case from behind bars by paying witnesses and allowing his children to run their own “PR campaign”.

The allegation arose from seven of his children posting a video commemorating his birthday on November 4.
His son Justin Dior Combs, 30, and six of Diddy’s other children, including his youngest daughter Love, two, sat around a birthday cake as Love sang ‘Happy Birthday.’
In the clip, Diddy could be heard speaking in the background, the first time his voice had been heard since his arrest.
Diddy said: ‘I love you all so much. I can’t wait to see you all. I just want to say that I am proud of all of you, especially the girls. I mean all of you, but only for being strong.
‘Thank you all for being strong and thank you all for being by my side, supporting me. I love you all.
‘I have the best family in the world. My birthday. I’m happy. Thank you all for giving me this call. I love you all.’
He is said to have used an app banned by the Bureau of Prisons called ContactMeASAP.com to arrange for these videos to be posted online.
Diddy allegedly bribed a witness after calling and texting her a staggering 128 times over four days from his cell to persuade her to support him.
Diddy bows and waves to friends and family who greet him as he attends a hearing in federal court in the Manhattan borough of New York City, U.S., October 10, 2024.
Prosecutors also claimed he used other inmates’ phone accounts to make calls to people he could not speak to and to “avoid tracking by authorities.”
Diddy was federally charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation into prostitution on September 17.
The rapper has been accused of staging ‘Freak Offs’, described as ‘elaborate and produced sexual performances’ arranged and directed by Combs while he masturbated and often recorded them.
He has pleaded not guilty to charges alleging that he coerced and abused women for years, with the help of associates and employees, and silenced victims through blackmail and violence, including kidnappings, arson and physical beatings.
Dozens of people, some of whom were minors at the time, have sued Diddy in civil courts for a series of crimes, which he also denies.
Combs is currently on his third attempt at bail and recently claimed that his “reputation has been destroyed.”
The fallen hip hop mogul said prosecutors’ “aggressive and deceptive accusations and media tactics” had already destroyed his public image and only an acquittal could reverse that.
Diddy claimed that charges that he ran a criminal enterprise for a decade were “fictitious” and that prosecutors were putting a “theatrical spin” on the truth.
He remains incarcerated at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center after being repeatedly denied bail. Diddy is scheduled to go on trial in May 2025.
