City officials in Miami Beach, Florida, have stripped Sean ‘Diddy Combs’ of his Key to the City, nine years after the disgraced mogul received the honor.
According TMZThe city decided to part ways with the 54-year-old rapper due to his declining reputation amid his arrest and mounting sexual assault allegations and lawsuits.
A source told the outlet that the move was made at a hearing Wednesday, which garnered a unanimous vote from Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner and the city commission.
However, Meiner has not yet signed the resolution making it official.
The outlet also reported that commissioners Joe Magazine, David Suárez, Tanya Katzoff Bhatt and Alex Fernández sponsored the decision.

In 2015, former mayor Philip Levine presented the honorary key to the city to Combs during the Revolt Music Conference in Fontainebleau in the vibrant city.
At that time, he was presented with the key due to his musical talent and his involvement in the formation of the Revolt Music Conference in Miami Beach.
The city has also awarded keys to the city to other Hollywood stars, including Combs’ ex, Jennifer Lopez.
And several months ago, Combs was also asked to return the Key to the City of New York.
The rapper returned the Key to the City to New York City in June after Mayor Eric Adams requested it in a letter.
In his letter, he asked for the key to be recovered after the emergence of a video showing Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, on hotel surveillance footage and the ensuing controversy.
The mayor sent a letter to the embattled rapper, stating that he supports survivors of domestic abuse.
He also noted that the Key to the City is awarded to model citizens and said Combs no longer met the selection criteria.
In September, a year after it was handed over, disturbing images resurfaced of the Big Apple Democratic leader, currently facing criminal charges, handing the key to Combs.
Previously, Combs also received the Key to the City of Chicago in October 2006, an honor he received from former Mayor Richard Daley.
It is unclear if Windy City has also done the same by rescinding the key.

Combs is currently in a Brooklyn jail after he was arrested by federal agents in New York City in mid-September.
He faces sex trafficking charges and is awaiting his imminent trial, in addition to facing more than 100 allegations of sexual misconduct against him.
Weeks ago, a lawyer announced that he represents 120 accusers who have leveled allegations of sexual misconduct against the hip-hop mogul.
Combs’ trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges is scheduled to begin May 5, 2025.
