Lawyers for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have hit out at the release of a trailer for an upcoming documentary about the music mogul.
The rapper, 55, who is being held in New York City on multiple charges of sex trafficking and assault, is the subject of the upcoming film, Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, premiering on Peacock on the 14th. of January.
The 90-second preview included people who claimed to be insiders and who were interviewed for the tell-all documentary, giving their side of the story.
The film is one of several to be released after his arrest in September 2024.
Combs’ attorneys issued a lengthy statement Friday saying, “These documentaries include unproven claims and provide platforms for baseless conspiracy theories without accountability or evidence.”
‘In the case of the Peacock documentary in particular, the motivations and credibility of those interviewed must be questioned. Many claim to have knowledge but lack any connection to the truth, while their wild and unfounded theories are cut and sensationalized to appear objective.
Diddy insiders, including a childhood friend, a former bodyguard and a Making the Band winner, give interviews on the Peacock special.
Lawyers for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have lashed out at allegations contained in a trailer for an upcoming documentary about the 55-year-old music mogul, questioning the ‘motivations and credibility of those interviewed.’
His former labelmate at Uptown Records, Al B. Claro!, who was married to the late model Kim Porter before she began her relationship with Combs, breaks his silence in the documentary.
Porter is the mother of Combs’ three children, Christian, 26, and twins Jessie and D’lila, 18.
The trailer for the special released Thursday includes footage of the rapper partying at home and in the studio.
“I’ve been with Sean for quite some time and have captured a lot of moments,” an unnamed source claimed.
‘Every time a studio or any room is (lit with red light), he is making love, sex. Some of the girls who were in the room were surely minors.
“They said they could send me and sell me to anyone,” added an unidentified woman.
Comb’s legal team stated that “Sean Combs unequivocally denies these false allegations, which are harmful, defamatory and not supported by credible evidence.”
‘It is deeply concerning how such narratives can influence public perception and harm the legal process. Mr. Combs deserves his day in court with an impartial jury, free from the taint of these baseless claims. The facts will be addressed in court, where truth, not fiction, will prevail.’
The film ‘Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy’ gives insight into the mogul’s decades-long career and includes never-before-seen footage of him.
The music mogul remains in federal custody at New York City’s notoriously tough Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial on multiple charges, including sex trafficking and sexual assault (pictured in London in November 2023).
In the trailer released Thursday, a source claimed that when Diddy was in the studio or in the room with a red light on, “he’s making love, sex.” Some of the girls who were in the room were probably minors.
The 90-minute documentary will address Combs’ early years, “his decades-long transformation into Puffy and then Diddy, with crucial insight into the forces that shaped the man and may have turned him into a monster,” according to Peacock.
“Sean Combs is a monster,” declares attorney Lisa Bloom in the trailer. Bloom represents Dawn Richards, who sued the rapper for “terrorizing and sexually abusing” her in a civil case against the rapper.

Combs has pleaded not guilty and a recent Page Six report said he appeared in court “shockingly thinner” and “grayer” after months away from the lavish lifestyle he and his family were accustomed to.
After a months-long investigation by authorities, he was charged with sex trafficking, extortion and transportation for prostitution (all of which he denies) and a trial date was set for May 5.
Combs was placed on suicide watch during his first week in custody, but was removed shortly after, with his attorney stating that his client was “focused and very strong.”

He faces a series of sex charges along with new allegations, including a new sexual assault lawsuit against a 13-year-old girl.
That legal filing, seen by DailyMail.com, claims that Diddy had allegedly “aggressively approached” the young woman with a “crazed look in his eyes” before sexually assaulting her.
She claims that an unidentified male celebrity also raped her while Diddy and an unidentified female celebrity watched.
The rapper has denied those accusations. When asked at the time, his lawyers told DailyMail.com that he “never sexually assaulted anyone” and said the most recent “flurry of filings” were nothing more than “clear attempts to gain publicity.”
