Diddy broke his silence behind bars when his children called to wish him a happy 55th birthday on Monday as he awaits trial on sex trafficking charges.
The rapper was arrested in September on federal charges of racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution, and is incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn.
In the video shared by his son Justin Dior Combs, 30, Diddy is heard telling his children that he is proud of all of them and that he “hopes to see them soon” after they sing happy birthday to him.
This comes as Diddy faces a new sexual assault lawsuit against a 13-year-old girl.
The same night, Jennifer Lopez and Diddy were photographed arguing together at a party before leaving later along with their entourage.

The alleged incident is said to have occurred at a home earlier that night, but the timing adds a troubling layer to the night’s events and raises questions about the dynamics of Diddy and Jennifer’s relationship during a time now overshadowed by serious allegations.
The couple remained together for another five months and finally separated in February 2001.
The new legal filing seen by DailyMail.com claims that Diddy had allegedly “aggressively approached” the young woman with a “crazed look in his eyes” before sexually assaulting her.
She claims that an unidentified male celebrity also raped her while Diddy and an unidentified female celebrity watched. There is no suggestion that this woman was Jennifer.
Diddy has denied the allegations. His lawyers told DailyMail.com that he “never sexually assaulted anyone” and said the most recent “flurry of filings” were nothing more than “clear attempts to gain publicity.”
Diddy was arrested last month on federal charges of racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution, and is incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, a prison that previously held Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and R Kelly.
In May 2024, a 2016 video would emerge of the shirtless rapper with a towel wrapped around his waist, chasing Cassie down the hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City before grabbing her and kicking her (seen together in 2016).
The rapper is filmed kicking Cassie as she lay on the ground.
Appearing on the hit DailyMail.com podcast Diddy’s trialPrison expert Larry Levine said Diddy is visited by a psychiatric team every day.
“He’s not actually on suicide watch, but my inside source tells me that someone comes to visit him several times a day, you know, to make sure he’s okay,” Levine said on the podcast.
“My sources tell me that (Diddy) receives extra showers per week,” he alleged. ‘I don’t know how many. It probably varies. They are giving them additional privileges.
Meanwhile, Combs’ attorneys are still trying to get him out of jail and filed an appeal with the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court after two judges refused to release him on bail. The matter will be discussed at a hearing on November 4.
Last week, Diddy’s seven children shared a joint statement supporting him Tuesday morning ahead of his May 5 federal sex trafficking trial.
“This past month has devastated our family,” they wrote on Instagram.
‘Many have judged him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories and false narratives that have become absurd on social media. We are united and support you every step of the way. We hold on to the truth knowing that it will prevail and that nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU DAD.’
The family’s statement came two days after Buzbee Law Firm, AVA Law Group and Curis Law filed seven more lawsuits (four men and three women) in the United States District Court in Manhattan against the three-time Grammy winner , alleging aggravated sexual assault, abuse and sexual exploitation between 2000-2022.
Lead attorney Tony Buzbee has gathered enough evidence to file lawsuits from 120 victims (as young as nine and 13) thanks to a hotline he created for victims and witnesses that racked up 12,000 calls in 24 hours.
“He is being treated like any other detainee awaiting trial. As with all public figures in his position, he was placed on suicide watch upon entering the facility as a precaution; seen in a court sketch from September 18
Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, dismissed the latest lawsuits as “clear attempts to gain publicity” and “have full confidence in the facts, his legal defenses and the integrity of the judicial process.”
The Emmy-nominated producer, who was arrested on September 16 in Manhattan following a grand jury indictment, “has never sexually assaulted anyone, whether adult or minor, male or female,” they added.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to charges alleging he coerced and abused women for years, with the help of associates and employees, and silenced victims through blackmail and violence, including kidnappings, arson and physical beatings.
