Social media is in a frenzy now that X users have discovered a possible connection between the Hawk Tuah girl and The Simpsons.
Hailey Welch took the internet by storm this month after answering a question on a Tim and Dee TV street interview about a technique that will “drive men crazy.”
She replied: ‘You have to give him that HAWK TUAH’, before spitting and saying: ‘Spit on that.’
X users have noticed that his technique is similar to that performed by Laura, a character from The Simpsons that Bart had a crush on during an episode of season 4.

X-users noticed that Hawk Tuah’s technique is similar to that of Laura, a Simpsons character whom Bart had a crush on during a season 4 episode.

Near the end of the episode, Laura and Bart sit on the sidewalk, where she reminds him that she was going to “tell his fortune.”
Laura took Bart’s hand and immediately made him smile after telling him that he was going to be rich.
Laura then hinted that she could see a mansion with a tennis court in Bart’s future.
However, Bart was left almost speechless after Laura spit into the palm of his hand.
Once she was gone, Bart stared at the saliva on his hand and said, “I’m never washing this hand again.”
Bart took that claim seriously and claimed that the hand was controlling him after Lisa Simpson complained to her father.
Laura was only in two episodes of The Simpsons, the last in archival footage in 1994.

More than one X user requested to joke that The Simpsons should inspire someone else and even one person tweeted that it was “a shame” that Laura would not be back on the show.
