Plastic surgeons have weighed in on rumors that Drake had undergone cosmetic surgery, after a dispute involving a rival rapper turned ugly over the weekend.

Hip-hop star and former friend Rick Ross accused Drake, 37, of mixed race, of undergoing “operation to make his nose smaller than his father’s.”

In a series of online posts fuming at the Canadian rapper, Ross also claimed that Drake underwent surgery to remove fat and accentuate his abs, calling Drake ‘BBL Drizzy.’

While the nose job allegation is new, rumors that Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, has had surgery on his body have been circulating for years.

DailyMail.com attributed the claims to top plastic surgeons.

Drake, 37, likely has had a nose job, according to two plastic surgeons. They pointed to the reduced top and thinner bridge of his nose to show the change. (Left, a young Drake, and right, in 2022)

Dr. Elie Levine, a New York City plastic surgeon, said that if Drake had a nose job, “it was done subtly.”

“It’s not that I went from looking like one person to a totally different person, but there’s definitely more definition in the later photos,” he added, stating that lighting, camera angles, or just natural aging could affect this.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, Dr Levine said: “Light can always affect these things and it can make a difference.”

“But, if you really look at it, there’s a high probability that he did some nasal contouring. [where part of the nose is shaven down or reshaped].

‘The tip looks better defined in the [more recent] photos, and it also seems a little more subtle and a little less obvious.

‘I would also like to point out the bridge, which seems a little narrower. If you’re making subtle changes to one part of the nose, you’re almost always forced to make subtle changes to other parts.’

Dr. Raja Mohan, a Texas plastic surgeon, said, “There is a high probability that you have had rhinoplasty.” [nose job] because its tip seems smaller and its nose bridge is narrower.’

But he said he couldn’t be sure because “in the most recent photos, there is still a slight bump on the [bridge of the nose] and some fullness at the tip on the right… or asymmetries I noticed.’

Typically during these procedures, any imperfections are rectified during surgery.

Rick Ross has posted a series of nose job accusations online.

They are directed at Drake, who has the tagline '@champagnepapi'.

Rick Ross has posted a series of images referencing the alleged nose job and BBL on Instagram. Many directly tagged Drake’s Instagram account as ‘@champagnepapi.’

Drake has refuted the allegations with the screenshot above, which he claims shows a conversation between him and his mother.

Surgeons compared photographs of Drake from his childhood, as well as images from around 2009, when he released his groundbreaking mixtape ‘Best I Ever Had’, with those closer to the present day to make their assessment.

Drake has denied the nose job rumors and shared an alleged text conversation between him and his mother where he says, “I would have gotten us a 2 for 1 deal if I was a mom.”

It’s not the first time Drake has been accused of undergoing plastic surgery after rumors surfaced in 2016 that he had undergone liposuction to sculpt his abs.

Rapper Joe Budden made the accusation in his song Afraid, where he said: “Yeah, Aubrey, he’s the one we trust, not this new Aubrey with the sculpted stomach.”

The rumors resurfaced again in 2018, with rapper Pusha T’s diss song directed at Drake, called ‘The Story of Adidon.’

The song included the lyrics “surgical summer” and “cut, cut, cut.”

Drake has never been able to completely shake off the allegations since.

In 2023, Drake shared a photo of himself topless after a cold plunge, prompting several comments questioning whether his abs were natural.

One wrote: “Does Drake know that people with defined abs usually have other defined muscles too?”, while a second said: “Drake and these tummy tuck abs.”

Dr. Andrew Peredo, a plastic surgeon in New York City, said, “She may have had liposuction, but with the photographs available it’s hard to tell.”

“I can’t see any incisions or any cannula marks, and it uniformly looks like it’s been toned, so it doesn’t look that way, and it looks pretty natural.”

‘That said, the only way to really know is when you touch it. Something looks like a six-pack, but when you touch it you discover if it’s muscle or just fat, which would be liposuction.

“She could also have had minimal liposuction, which some patients with access to resources undergo and are barely visible.”

Minimal liposuction is when small pockets of fat are removed from different areas of the body, such as around the abs, to enhance curves and provide more natural-looking definition. This differs from standard liposuction which removes larger areas of fat. The incisions are also smaller and more subtle.

The latest feud between Drake and Rick Ross comes after several rappers and former collaborators of Drake’s began “dissing” him.

Former frequent collaborators Future and Metro Boomin, the rapper-producer duo, apparently fired a series of shots at Drake on their new album We Don’t Trust You.

Kendrick Lamar, The Weekend and A$AP Rocky appeared to diss Drake during guest appearances on the album.
