Blizzard announced today that Diablo 4 has become the company’s fastest-selling game of all time, but Blizzard hasn’t shared any specific sales numbers, as the game has been played for 93 million hours since its early launch on June 2.
Rod Ferguson said: Diablo title general manager saying:
This is a moment from the Diablo 4 team over the years, we are incredibly proud to bring players the richest and best story told in the Diablo series. Since the game was first announced in 2019, millions of players around the world have supported this version.
Diablo 4 is now available in all its versions, so the game numbers are expected to increase during the coming period, and we expect Blizzard to share with us the effective numbers of game sales later.
It is noteworthy that the previous record holder for Blizzard is the expansion of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, which sold 3.7 million copies on its first day of launch, playing on PC, while Diablo 4 was available across multiple platforms.
