As Diablo 4 approaches its June release date, Blizzard has revealed battle pass pricing and how the RPG will handle its seasonal content.
As revealed via the Blizzard blog, the rewards and progression are detailed, as the first season begins in mid-to-late July, with four seasons planned per year, that is, one season in every 3 quarters, which means that each chapter is three months long.
Diablo 4 adds seasonal missions and stand-alone stories with each season, and these missions guide you through new gameplay events tied to the latest RPG experience Diablo GM Rod Ferguson added during the broadcast that this split from the core campaign story allowed the team to create missions and mechanics Not bound by the campaign.
Diablo 4’s quarterly updates will be for post-launch adventures, so you’ll need to complete the base game before jumping into it. After playing once, each new character can skip the campaign and start the seasonal update right away. These seasons will require a new character. Your old characters can still be accessed, so they won’t be able to participate in these add-ons.
The free Battle Pass will be available to everyone, adding 27 levels with rewards such as Smoldering Ashes and other cosmetic items. The Premium Pass will cost $10 while the Accelerated Pass can be obtained for $25.
It is noteworthy that Diablo 4 will be released on June 6 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
