The Belgian Royal Palace has today published two new portraits on the occasion of the 16th birthday of Princess Eleanor of Belgium.

Princess Eleanor of Belgium looked radiant as she posed for photographs to mark her 16th birthday today.

Eléonore is the youngest daughter of King Philip and Queen Matilda, who are also parents to Princess Elizabeth, 22, Prince Gabriel, 20, and Prince Emmanuel, 18.

In the first of the new portraits, which were shared on the royal family’s official Instagram page, the 16-year-old was sitting on the grand staircase of Laeken Palace.

Eléonore opted for a simple but effective backdrop for the second portrait and stood smiling next to one of the palace doors.

Dressed in a smart casual outfit, the 16-year-old donned a chic cream blouse and a pair of deep blue trousers for the occasion, and swept her blonde hair over her shoulder with the clips.
