Devin Haney broke his silence following reports that Ryan Garcia tested positive for PEDs after their fight.
Garcia, 25, scored a majority decision victory over Haney last month in Brooklyn, entering the fight as an underdog but knocking down his opponent three times in 12 captivating rounds at Barclays Center.
The victory marked Garcia’s biggest victory of his career to date, and came after weeks of bizarre social media posts and ranting in the build-up to the fight.

In a statement made to ESPNHaney said: “We became aware of this situation not long ago and it is unfortunate that Ryan has misled and disrespected both the fans and the sport of boxing by fighting dirty and coming out positive not once, but twice.”

Garcia will now reportedly have 10 days to request that his B sample be tested, which he will have to pay for himself.
He reportedly failed for the substance in two urine tests taken the day before the fight and also after the fight, with the fight lasting 12 rounds and securing Garcia the 21st victory of his career, with only one loss to his name, although that could now be taken away from him.
A sample also tested positive for 19-norandrosterone, but it is not confirmed until further laboratory analysis is performed, according to ESPN’s Mike Coppinger.
On X, formerly Twitter, he posted a series of messages immediately after the accusations, including sharing a video and speaking in a space.
Other posts included: ‘I need more steroids I’m addicted UGHHH’ and ‘They’re trying to take away my biggest win. It’s a little sad when you think about it. I DON’T CARE I LOVE GOD AND HE WILL DO IT WELL. I love you jesus ‘.
Garcia took to social media to deny the claims and also mocked the reports in a series of posts.
He made a series of bizarre social media posts and went on a rant several times in the lead-up to the fight.
In the video, he said, “I came here to address this damn claim that I cheated.” Everyone knows I don’t cheat.
‘What can I say? Why didn’t they remove this sooner, if they found it sooner? Why would they still let me get in the ring? I came out with a win and then they post this.
‘These are people who are trying to attack me for whatever reason. But no weapon against me shall prosper. I have never taken a steroid in my life.
