Celebrate Bend Studio The Days Gone developer is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and for the occasion, the studio thanked fans for their support over the years.
The studio said in a tweet that it “can’t wait to announce what’s to come.” This last part of the tweet is interesting as we’re getting closer to the PlayStation Showcase that’s supposed to air on May 24 with a focus on upcoming PS5 titles.
Reports indicate that Bend Studio didn’t achieve the desired success with Days Gone, and worked briefly on a team game project for Naughty Dog which could be the rumored standalone multiplayer title The Last of Us for months, after hinting they were upset at the prospect of being Just a support studio, they will continue to work on a new project.
Last year, the studio revealed its new logo and confirmed that it is working on a new project, an all-new title. The project in question is based on the open world mechanics we saw in Days Gone, but with multiplayer elements. With these quotes, the developer assured that it was a “whole new world” which he was “very excited to create” for players. So far the developer is looking forward to unveiling the project when the time is right.
