The Detroit Lions announced that defensive star Aidan Hutchinson underwent successful surgery Sunday night.
Hutchinson, the NFL’s sack leader, suffered a horrific leg fracture during the third quarter of the Lions’ blowout victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
The defensive end was rushed to the hospital where he immediately underwent surgery and will remain until his return to Detroit later this week.
“Aidan Hutchinson underwent successful surgery last night to repair a fractured tibia and fibula at Baylor White Medical Center in Irving, Texas,” the franchise confirmed in a statement issued Monday morning.
‘Hutchinson will return to Detroit this week and is expected to make a full recovery. “There is no timetable for his return to play at this time.”
