The Detroit Lions backfield will be at full strength heading into their Divisional playoff against the Washington Commanders on Saturday night, with David Montgomery off the injured list.
Montgomery hasn’t played since suffering an MCL injury in Week 15 over a month ago.
Since then, Jahmyr Gibbs has taken on the bulk of the workload for Detroit’s running backs instead of sharing it with Montgomery.
The Lions have been one of the most battered teams in football, with Saturday’s showdown giving Detroit one of its cleanest health scares of the season.
Only three players were listed on the injury report for Detroit. Pat O’Connor and Kevin Zeitler are both out.
Cornerback Ennis Rakestraw is questionable for the game.

Detroit has home field advantage as the No. 1 seed in the NFC during the playoffs and finishes the regular season with a 15–2 record.
The Commanders defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road last week in the Wild Card round, the only non-division winner still playing in the postseason.
Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold is also off the injured list and will likely be assigned to guard Washington’s top target, Terry McLaurin, at Ford Field.
Washington and Detroit haven’t played in the postseason since 1999 and since 1991 after the Wild Card round, with the now Commanders winning both games.
