The four-seater Mooney M20 had initiated a fierce rescue operation after not completing its journey from Murwillumbah to Taree in northern New South Wales the day before.
Speaking on behalf of the victims' family, Jeffrey Hills cousin Craig Cameron revealed that both the father and son were committed to their faith and community.
