Jamie Lee Curtis called for an end to ‘bull**** conspiracy theories’ about Catherine, Princess of Wales, hours before her shock cancer diagnosis was revealed.

Shortly before Kate Middleton made the announcement, the actress, 65, took to Instagram to ask people to stop theorizing about her and her whereabouts.

After the 42-year-old royal revealed on Friday that she has been absent from public duties because she is battling the disease, the Freaky Friday star sent his ‘best wishes to her and her family.

In his first post, Curtis wrote: ‘Can we please just STOP with this bull**** conspiracy theory? This is a human being with small children, and this is clearly some kind of health problem. It is a private matter’.

As Hollywood stars call for apologies to the princess, she added: ‘Don’t we have better things to do and more important things to think about and worry about than this? It’s a real low point in our society when there are SO MANY crucial issues that need our attention.’

She later continued in a follow-up comment as ‘now Princess Kate has told us about her health’.

“Now we have to send nothing but our best wishes to her and her family and focus on our own lives and the lives of people directly related to us,” she wrote. ‘And the countless life-threatening issues for our children that we can focus on.’

The princess had shared her diagnosis during a televised speech on Friday night.

In a video, she thanked people for ‘all the wonderful messages of support’ and explained that she was diagnosed with cancer after undergoing stomach surgery in January.

Since then, she said she has been recovering from the surgery as well as undergoing ‘preventive’ chemotherapy.

“I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you personally for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding as I recover from the operation,” the princess said.

“It’s been an incredibly tough few months for our whole family,” she continued. ‘But I have had a fantastic medical team who have looked after me – for which I am so grateful.

“In January I had major stomach surgery in London,” she added. ‘And at the time my condition was thought not to be cancerous.’

“The operation was successful,” she explained. “However, there had been tests after the cancer operation.

‘Obviously this has come as a huge shock and William and I have done everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.’

On the subject of their three children, the future queen said: ‘It has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is suitable for them and to reassure them that I will be fine.’

The princess is now on what has been described as a ‘recovery pathway’ after starting a course of chemotherapy at the end of February.
