Today, Saturday, the Russian Ministry of Defense published a statement accompanied by a video showing what it claimed was the return of the reconnaissance ship “Ivan Khors” to the Sevastopol base after completing its “special missions” in the Black Sea.
The ship has been the subject of a media dispute between Russia and Ukraine, where Kiev said on Wednesday it had attacked it.
However, the video published by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense showed a boat approaching a few feet from the Russian ship, but it was cut off before any explosion or destruction of the Russian ship was shown.
And the Russian Ministry of Defense published a video of what it said was the destruction of one of the Ukrainian boats.
On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Ukrainian forces “tried and failed” to attack the reconnaissance ship.
The Russian army said that three Ukrainian boats operating automatically without a pilot were destroyed before any of them reached the vicinity of “Ivan Khors”.
