A 13-year-old girl disappeared from her parental home in southwest Sydney through her bedroom window and has not been seen since.

A desperate search is underway to find Mariam Wehb after her parents discovered that she was not in bed on Sunday morning at 7.30 am.

She was last seen on Saturday at about five in the afternoon before disappearing from the family home on Dutton Street in Yagoona sometime in the night.

The police do not treat the disappearance as suspicious, but have raised alarm bells because of their young age.

Mrs. Wehbi is described as appearance in the Middle East, between 150-160 cm long, with a skinny build, long brown hair with blonde stripes and brown eyes.

She was last seen in black leggings and a black sweater.

The teenager is known to visit Bankstown and Georges Hall often, including the proximity to Paul Keating Park and The Crest.
