A frantic search is ongoing for a missing 14-year-old autistic boy who went jogging and never returned.

Police and SES crews were called to Launching Place on Tuesday, 54km east of Melbourne’s CBD, after the child went missing.

The teen was last seen this morning at about 7:30 a.m., the Herald Sun reported.

Clearly he has high-functioning autism, and sources said it is ‘very unusual’ for him not to return home.

Find emergency services near the Warbuton track at Earle St and Barak Drive.

Victoria Police said it will provide more information where possible.
