The police have launched a desperate hunt for a five-year-old mother who was missing in her wealthy town of Connecticut in the midst of a bitter divorce and custody battle.

Jennifer Dulos, 50, was last seen on Friday in a black Chevrolet Suburban 2017 and officers have since used trained dogs to search the forest close to where the author lived in New Canaan.

The graduate Brown is said to be embroiled in a bitter dichotomy and custody battle with her estranged husband Fotis Dulos about their children, between six and eleven years old.

The couple was married for 13 years until Jennifer started a divorce in 2017, The Connecticut Post reports.
