Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert attended the star-studded launch of Hulu on Disney+ in Los Angeles on Friday, just hours after announcing that Erbert is “cleared” to dance again four months later. suffered a cranial hematoma.

Erbert, who made her official return to red carpet events last month, stood out in a white button-down shirt that had been tucked into a floral-print dress at the event.
She finished her look with pumps and a pair of elegant earrings, while Hough opted for a light blue double-breasted jacket and matching pants.
On Friday, the couple formally announced that Erbert, 29, would be reuniting with Hough, 38, on the Symphony Of Dance tour in just over a week.

“Hi everyone, I’m very excited to announce that I have been cleared to rejoin the Symphony Of Dance tour and will be dancing when the tour kicks off on April 14 in Melbourne, Florida,” Erbert told fans.
“We can’t wait to dance together again on stage and be back with all of our fans and thank them,” Hough chimed in.
“Thank you all for the incredible support you have shown during this time,” added the judge and Dancing With The Stars professional. “So we can’t wait and we’ll see each other very, very soon.”
All the smiles and good news are a far cry from when Erbert was rushed to the hospital after a tour in Washington, DC in December, where she was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma due to a ruptured blood vessel.
As a result, he had to undergo a craniectomy, which is where a section of the skull is removed to help relieve any additional pressure on the brain, according to Cedar Sinai.
Just a few weeks later, he had to undergo cranioplasty surgery to “replace a large portion of his skull” that had been removed during surgery.
As he began his road to recovery, Hough decided to postpone the tour to be by his wife’s side and offer her any help or support she needed at that time.
“What a blessing (and surprise) it is to be able to get back on stage dancing with my love after such a crazy four months,” Erbert shared in a separate post on her Instagram page on Friday. ‘My healing journey has been nothing short of extraordinary and being able to dance again is igniting my soul in every way; accelerating my recovery even further.”
Feeling grateful, she thanked all the medical professionals for contributing to her speedy recovery.

It has been just four months since he underwent the two surgeries, which included a cranioplasty to ‘replace a large part of his skull’ that had been removed.
“We can’t wait to dance together again on stage and be back with all of our fans and thank them,” Hough chimed in.
“Thank you all for the incredible support you have shown during this time,” the couple added.
After revealing that they were cleared by their doctors, the couple began dancing again just over two weeks ago, in preparation for their return to tour on April 14.
“I am so grateful to the doctors who supported me in my decision to return to dancing and to my team of specialists who have come together to ensure my health and safety are a priority,” she continued.
He ended by turning his attention to the fans: ‘I can’t wait for everyone to see this show! “It was so meaningful when we opened last year and now, after everything that’s happened, it’s really even more special.”
During an interview with People, the Topeka, Kansas, native gushed about how excited she was “to get back out there and dance again after something so traumatic happened.”
“Dance has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so I’m so excited to get out there and do what I love and also see the people who have supported me throughout this healing journey.” She explained.

In the video, the dance professionals are seen rehearsing before their return to the stage.

Hough also thanked his wife’s “incredible team” who helped make sure she was “well and healthy.”
“She’s got it all figured out and we’re all in awe of her and we can’t wait to get out there and put on a great show and an emotional show,” the Salt Lake City, Utah, native added.
The couple, who just married in August 2023, began dating in 2015 while both appeared on Dancing With The Stars during season 20.
The couple announced their return to the dance floor with an Instagram post on March 20.
Hough and Erbert return in Melbourne, Florida, on April 14, and then head out on the US tour, ending May 19 in San Diego.
Initially, the duo decided to keep their relationship a secret for the first few years until they made their romance Instagram official in 2017.
News of their return to tour comes just over two weeks after the couple announced they were ready to start dancing again in a joint Instagram post.

The Symphony Of Dance tour returns to Melbourne, Australia on April 14 and tours the East Coast and South until finally ending on the West Coast with a show in San Diego on May 19.
