Shuvro’s brother Biprojit Biswas said his deceased sibling had suffered depression after breaking up with his partner.

Bijojit told the New York Post, ‘He had a girlfriend and they were in a bad relationship, but I’m not saying that was the cause of everything. He didn’t really like to share much. He is a private person. ‘

The dead man’s brother said he and his family had tried to convince Shuvro to seek psychiatric help, but to no avail.

Shuvro’s family and the management of the Hudson Yards building where he rented an apartment would become increasingly concerned about his erratic behavior in the year leading up to his death.

In February, the owners took him to court to try to evict him after the blood smearing incident and for igniting a mattress in his apartment near a propane tank.

He is also said to have wielded a knife in public places, made false reports of intruders.

A lawsuit seen by the Post said: “ Defendant is a ticking time bomb who, just months after the lease, has been involved in numerous incidents of escalating, insulting nuisance-like behavior that affect life, health, safety and welfare of construction staff, building residents and building real estate. ‘

Biprojit says his late brother put the problems away, claiming the fire was the result of a cooking fire.

He added that he and his family have been left ‘extremely devastated’ by the tragic death of their loved one.

Biprojit said, “There are no words.

‘He’s a really good guy. He’s brilliant.

He went to Bronx High School of Science. He went to study applied mathematics. We still don’t know where it went wrong. ‘
