Denver Broncos player Josh Reynolds was shot in the back of the head as he left a club in the early hours of October 18, the city local reported. The NBC affiliate has revealed.

Sometime after 3 a.m., someone called 911 claiming he was shot while driving a blue Ford Bronco, according to court documents obtained by 9NEWS. Responding officers located several victims, including Reynolds, who was reportedly hit twice: once in the left arm and once in the back of the head.

The 29-year-old veteran receiver was treated for minor injuries, according to a team statement. The Broncos have declined to comment further.

Reynolds was already on injured reserve after undergoing surgery for a broken finger earlier this month, which explains why his absence from the team facility had not been reported.

Two men have been arrested in the case: Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza.

Denver police have not yet responded to DailyMail.com’s request for more information. A spokesperson for the local district attorney’s office told DailyMail.com that the department does not yet have the case.

As reported by 9NEWS, police received an emergency call near East Hampden Avenue and South Dahlia Street in Denver’s Southmoor Park neighborhood around 3 a.m. on October 18.

The caller, who said he was driving a blue Ford Bronco, claimed he had been shot.

The 911 operator reported that the caller stopped responding at one point and sounded like he was running.

Another caller said they were following him and a third person claimed they had been shot too, according to 9NEWS.

Responding officers found three victims: Reynolds, a man who was shot in the back, and another man who was injured by broken glass.

The three men were scratched while climbing a fence, according to 9NEWS.

Police also discovered the victims’ vehicle, which had suffered gunshot damage.

The victims had reportedly been at Shotgun Willies, a strip club in Glendale, Colorado.

NBA fans will remember that club as the place where Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant pulled a gun in an incident that was caught on tape and later led to a lengthy suspension.
