Dennis Rodman’s girlfriend Yella Yella has revealed that she wasn’t the mastermind behind his crazy new face tattoo, and even tried to warn him of the idea.
Five-time NBA champion Rodman made headlines earlier this week when he revealed his bold new move, painting a portrait of his partner on his right cheek.
But rather than buy into the idea, rapper Yella Yella claims she wasn’t in favor of it, telling TMZ: “I actually told her not to do it.” I’m like, “What are you doing!”
He went on to add that while he was getting tattooed, he called him “crazy” and a “wild child.”
Meanwhile, Rodman has stood his ground amid the criticism, insisting he’s happy with the bold move.

The rapper insists it wasn’t her idea, and she was actively against getting the ink on her right cheek.
“This is my last dance with a woman,” he said. She is very charming. And I thank her for loving me as I am, and that’s why I did it for her.
The 62-year-old retired athlete, who recently responded to criticism online, was tattooed this week by tattoo artist Van Johnson, star of reality series Black Ink Crew Chicago, who shared video footage.
He captioned the clip, ‘So I didn’t do too much today, I chilled in my townhouse tattooed a living legend’s face of his wife on his face, that’s all… What y’all doing?
Many fans took advantage of the comments to express their dismay at the sight, with one person writing: “You should have tried to talk him out of that my G.”
Someone else added: ‘Great tattoo; I’m worried about Dennis though.
It comes after Rodman hit back at trolls who criticized him for wearing a skirt to a Pride event in Houston last month.
Known for his transgressive, gender-fluid style and for being an LGBTQ+ ally, Dennis wore a skimpy green plaid skirt and a shirt with a graphic print of his face in rainbow colors.

Rodman is a flamboyant character best known for his time with Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls.
Elsewhere on the black jersey was the phrase ‘Live and Love’, which he proudly wore as he greeted fans at the event.
The star, who once wore a wedding dress to marry himself in 1996, happily posed for photos with fans but was faced with a torrent of vitriolic comments when he shared a post from the affair.
The post was captioned: “Love will always win, happy pride #gaypride #loveislove #pridemonth.”
Clapping back at the backlash, the star shared a post showcasing her risqué outfits over the years, writing: “Investigate guys #beenhim.”
In his autobiography I Should Be Dead By Now, Rodman shared stories from his personal life, including how sex became a ‘job’; such was the frequency with which he slept with different women.
Nicknamed ‘The Worm’, Rodman explained: ‘At that point in my life, I was having sex with a lot of different women. So many that sometimes it became a job.’
However, meeting model Carmen Electra briefly changed everything. The couple had a whirlwind relationship and were even married for a short time, before divorcing in 1999.
Rodman says that sex became a “job” for him, such was the frequency with which he had it in his prime.
‘With Carmen it was different. It was nice to be with someone waiting for the right time, the right place, the right time,” Rodman wrote.
Revealing the details of a specific date, he said: “We went to eat sushi, we came home, we lay in bed and we looked at each other and we talked, we talked, we talked.”
‘She was there four or five days, sleeping at my house, in my bed, and we never made love. It was something unreal’, she marveled at herself.
In an interview with Vice TV, he revealed the gruesome details of an injury he sustained while having sex on a boat.
It was in Dallas. My girlfriend at the time and I did everything,’ she said. ‘I ran and jumped on her and all of a sudden… Oh, blood everywhere. A white girl with blood everywhere. She screamed, “Oh my God, he’s dead, he’s dead! I’ve killed him!”
“I said, ‘No, honey, I just broke my penis.'”
