Denise and Eddie decided to tame the coronavirus storm and postpone their long-awaited wedding so they can celebrate a grand celebration with their loved ones.

The TV personality said she likes to jump back in line for the wedding to get other couples to exchange their vows first, as she predicts a “huge backlog” due to the pandemic.

Speak with The sun last month she said: ‘We are not engaged, but we are preparing to get married. It’s definitely going to happen, but we’re in no rush.

“We don’t want a small wedding. We want a large group of people and a large party without restrictions.

“In addition, with all the weddings canceled due to the pandemic, there will be a huge backlog and I wouldn’t want to get in the way of all of them. Let them all go first!’

Denise and her commodities trading partner have been an item for seven years and currently live in Essex with her daughter Besty, nine, who she shares with West End star Lee Mead.

Eddie also has two children from a previous relationship.

Denise gushed that she knew very early in their relationship that he was “The One,” and that living together has only heightened her feelings.

While they had to backtrack on their wedding plans, the mother of one admitted that they are already acting like a married couple.

The couple, who often appear together on Celebrity Gogglebox, skip the traditional engagement process because they were both married before.

Denise first walked down the aisle to marry her father’s daughter Lee, 39, in 2009, but they split in 2013.

The former Big Breakfast host revealed she planned to turn the tables by proposing Eddie in 2020 because it was a leap year.

Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic messed up her plans as she admitted it was “impossible” to organize and it “didn’t feel right.”

Instead, the couple came to a joint decision to skip the proposal and opt for a modern approach.

According to Denise, she said that what appeals to her most about marriage is the union between two individuals and “feeling loved,” stating that she didn’t need a “big rock” on her finger to prove it.

Instead, the Essex couple plans to exchange simple wedding rings when they meet at the altar.

During the interview, Denise praised Eddie for being brilliant with her daughter and for helping with her homeschooling during the lockdown, which she said was a real challenge.

The former Dancing On Ice contestant said Betsy felt “tough” last year after she couldn’t see her friends or go to school, especially as she’s an only child.

Denise confirmed that she has ruled out the possibility of having more children and said she has “no regrets” about her decision, despite considering it a few years ago.
