He Wall Street Journal Detailed concerns from both Republicans and Democrats that the commander in chief’s abilities are declining and that he is aging out of being an effective executive.

But Democrats are quick to defend Biden, saying all 45 sources in the report are politically motivated.

She described her conversations with Biden as interesting and said he knows what he’s doing.

The Michigander declined interviews with other media on Wednesday due to the loss of his voice, but staunchly defended the president, despite her illness, to DailyMail.com.

Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md., 85, the top Democrat in the House, who has been in office since 1981, said he meets with Biden five or six times a month and that the president is “vigorous ” and ” is fully aware of the problems.’

‘I say I’m a little worried about Biden’s age. I think he’s a little young to be running for president,” joked Hoyer, who is three years older than Biden.

“He’s a little slower than when he was 40,” he said of Biden, before adding, “But I’m a little slower than when I was 40.”

He continued: “In my opinion, he shows no sign that he is not fully and completely capable of serving as president of the United States for the next four years.”

Hoyer said Biden’s schedule is a testament to his vigor, pointing to his busy schedule that includes news conferences, meetings and this week’s trip to France to mark the anniversary of D-Day as evidence of his decline.

More than 45 Democrats and Republicans spoke to the Wall Street Journal, many of whom met directly with the president, others were briefed on the meetings at the same time.

Overall, the article painted a largely negative picture of Biden’s aging in office.

It comes months after a Justice Department report from special counsel Robert Hur criticized the 81-year-old Biden’s competence.

Hur claimed that during the investigation into Biden’s mishandling of classified documents, it became clear that the president has a “poor memory” and “diminished faculties.”

Democrats responded to that report at the time, and once again rallied to defend the oldest president in American history on Wednesday.

“My time with President Biden feels a lot like his State of the Union address several months ago,” said Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md.

“He was completely lucid, fun, interactive and dynamic.”

Raskin said he last spoke with Biden about a month ago, adding that “this is a transparent effort to distract everyone from the fact that there is now a convicted felon who is ready to be the Republican Party nominee.”

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., told DailyMail.com that she spoke with Biden about 10 days ago and that his mental acuity was not an issue.

‘I have absolutely spoken with the president recently. And at all times, even recently when I spoke with the president, he has shown himself to be robust, lucid, focused and fully inclined towards his work.”

Still, despite Democrats’ rapid mobilization to defend Biden’s age and mental fitness, an April DailyMail.com poll found that only 38% of voters expect him to be alive at the end of his second term. , if re-elected.

And Biden, for his part, when recently asked if he was prepared for the job of president for a second time, said, “I can do it better than anyone you know.”

He then replied cheekily, “You’re looking at me, I can take you too.”
