Democrat sports PUTIN mask as he walks to Biden impeachment hearing and then dares Republicans to go ahead with vote

Democratic Rep. Jared Moskowitz wore a Putin mask Wednesday as he appeared at the House Oversight Committee hearing on Hunter Biden’s business dealings, part of a broader impeachment inquiry by the House Republican Party.

Moskowitz pretended to be the Russian leader while speaking to reporters outside the committee room.

The Florida Democrat said he was there to thank Chairman James Comer, a Kentucky Republican, “for taking all of our information and using it in the committee.”

“Maybe he can come and see the technology in our grocery stores, thank you,” Moskowitz added.

He was referring to former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s widely criticized Putin interview, a chat session that took place shortly before the death in prison of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

Moskowitz removed the mask as he entered the committee room.

He ignored a reporter’s question about whether his antics were “childish.”

In a statement to The newspaper La Colline he explained the symbolism of Putin’s mask.

“House Oversight Republicans opened this investigation into Joe Biden with Form 1023, which has now been proven to have come directly from Russian intelligence,” Moskowitz said.

“James Comer carried out Vladimir Putin’s orders. The mask was worn to provide that visual,” the Florida Democrat added.

The Republican-led effort to impeach President Joe Biden stems from an unsubstantiated claim found in a document called FBI Form 1023, in which FBI officials warned GOP lawmakers that it was unsubstantiated by evidence.

Instead, an FBI source had claimed – that Biden received a $5 million bribe from an executive at the Ukrainian gas company Burisma – and wrote it up.

This source, Alexander Smirnov, was indicted by the Justice Ministry for lying.

Prosecutors said Smirnov told them “officials associated with Russian intelligence services were involved.”

Maskless during the hearing, Moskowitz also taunted Comer and challenged him to an impeachment vote as Wednesday’s wild hearing wound down.

“I think we should do it today. Just call it. I’m going to make the motion, Mr. President,” Moskowitz said. “Move the motion to impeach President Biden, go ahead. »

Comer answered Moskowitz in the negative and shook his head.

“No, nothing, OK, we have nothing,” he said. “So I want, with my last minutes, to show the American people that they will never impeach Joe Biden, that it will never happen, because he has no proof.”
