Demi Lovato reveals that she doesn’t always wake up with a ‘super confident’ feeling in a reflective Instagram post: ‘I deal with s ** t every day’
Demi Lovato has days when she wakes up and feels ‘not super confident’.
The 27-year-old singer went to social media on Friday to let her fans know that she felt less than her best and took the opportunity to remind her followers that life always has ‘ups and downs’.
Referring to her recent appearance on the Pretty Big Deal podcast by Ashley Graham, she wrote on her Instagram story: “I woke up and didn’t feel super self-confident, even when my PBD episode just came out. Let this be a reminder to everyone who struggles there – this life is a journey with many ups and downs but you cannot give up.

‘I deal with s ** t every day, but I know that God will be fine by my side. “You, my friends and family are also quite helpful (sic).”
During her appearance on Ashley’s podcast, Demi opened about her almost fatal overdose in 2018, which he said was caused by her struggle with an eating disorder because she felt under pressure to “look in a certain way.”
Demi was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles on July 24, 2018 after an overdose.
She went to a treatment facility in August 2018 and has since made her comeback with performances at the Grammys and Super Bowl LIV.

Demi confessed: ‘I’m tired of running myself into the ground with training sessions and extreme diets. I thought the past few years had been a recovery from an eating disorder, when it just fell into it.
“I think when you have certain people around you who tell you certain things that you need to look at in a certain way, this makes it harder. I was in that situation and just ran myself into the ground.
“I really think that was the cause of everything that happened in the last year, only I thought I recovered when I didn’t, and then I lived this kind of lie and tried to tell the world that I was happy with myself when I really wasn’t. ”
The Anyone singer shared details of the podcast – released earlier this week – on social media and thanked the model for allowing her to “open up” on her health trip.
She wrote: “Thank you, Ashley, for the fact that I have really opened up to my beliefs, limits, my journey to body acceptance and what my future holds. We had such an honest and real conversation … I can’t wait for you to look and listen (sic) ‘
