Delta pilot is slammed as a ‘narcissistic dictator’ after issuing a VERY strict list of rules to plane passengers in lengthy speech – while bizarrely referring to himself as the ‘servant leader’

A Delta pilot has gone viral after giving a wild speech detailing the incredibly strict “rules” he requires passengers to follow during a flight, while referring to himself as a “servant leader.”

The man, whose identity is unknown, sparked a fierce backlash after a video of him sharing the extensive list of regulations he “needed everyone” on the plane to “obey” surfaced on Instagram.

In the clip, the pilot can be seen transmitting his orders to travelers through the plane’s intercom system.

He began by describing himself as the “servant leader” and “captain of the ship.”

He explained that meant he would be “responsible” for everyone’s “safety” and “above all,” making sure the people on board followed the “rules.”

“Everyone, please look at your servant leader,” he said. ‘Today I am going to be the captain of the ship.

‘What does that mean? It means that I am responsible for the safety of my ship, my crew, my passengers, my cargo, but above all, the rules.’

The man then began listing orders, which involved “obeying” seat belt signs, listening to flight attendants and being polite to other passengers.

“I need everyone to obey the seat belt sign during the flight for your safety and the safety of everyone around you,” he continued.

‘I need everyone to obey the orders and instructions of my flight attendants. And lastly, I ask that we all be respectful of each other.’

He concluded by saying: ‘Are there any questions?’

It appeared that the plane was headed to Atlanta and had been delayed, but it is unclear where it was taking off from.

A travel blogger named Jay Robert uploaded the video to his Instagram account this week, where it quickly went viral, but it is not known who originally filmed it.

‘I wonder if this Delta captain is an ex-military man.’ he captioned it and added: “(Credit) unknown.”

People quickly flooded the comments section with their thoughts on the pilot’s behavior, and many were quick to criticize him.

‘Oh! Unnecessary and narcissistic,” one person wrote. Another added: “Total embarrassment. I bet it’s fun at parties.”

‘This captain abused his power. He treated passengers like they were kindergarteners. Oh, and “my fly assistants.” My God, you have some arrogance issues,’ he irritated someone else.

‘Please stop being a total control freak and just fly the plane. Have a little faith in your flight attendants,’ he reads in a fourth comment.

A fifth simply said: “This irritates my soul.”

Others, however, supported the man and defended him against those who hated him.

‘I love this Captain. As a former Delta flight attendant, I loved that we had so many pilots who came from the US Air Force,’ one person explained.

“They may not have the best bedside manner, but they are qualified.”

Another user commented: ‘I wish airline captains would do this more often. It IS necessary, especially in these times.”
