Deal: Food blogger Ella Mills (pictured) has sold her Deliciously Ella brand to Swiss food manufacturer Hero Group
Food blogger Ella Mills and her husband Matthew have made a multi-million-pound windfall after Deliciously Ella was bought by a Swiss manufacturer.
Hero Group has bought the brand, which sells a range of healthy snacks and recipe books, for an undisclosed sum.
The sale includes her app, which offers subscribers more than 2,000 recipes for products from the Deliciously Ella brand and the Milton Keynes factory that makes them.
However, the couple will retain ownership of the Plants brand, which sells its own range of foods, and will also continue to own Plants by Deliciously Ella, a restaurant in Mayfair, London.
Her business began when Mills, 33, the daughter of supermarket heiress Camilla Sainsbury and former minister Shaun Woodward, started a food blog in 2012.
Her husband, Matthew, is the son of Labour politician Baroness Jowell, who died in 2018.
