The Ministry of Defense confirmed today that Kate will attend Trooping the Color on June 8

It was claimed today that the Ministry of Defense had jumped the gun by announcing the Princess of Wales’s return to royal duties without consulting Kensington Palace.

The official Army website has confirmed that Kate Middleton will carry out her first major engagement since her abdominal surgery at the parade in London on June 8.

Tickets are already selling on the site for the weekend show before the main Trooping the Color ceremony, which is normally reviewed by the monarch.

But while this is Kate’s first official duty to be announced since undergoing surgery, Kensington Palace has yet to confirm her attendance. MailOnline understands that Palace officials were not consulted about the MoD update.

A royal source added that Prince William or Kate’s attendance at events is always announced by the Palace, not the Ministry of Defence. But it appears the MoD hopes Kate will be well enough to attend one of the key ceremonial events in the Armed Forces year.

Only the Palace can announce Kate’s attendance at a royal event, and confirmation is not expected until closer to the date. MailOnline contacted the Ministry of Defense for comment, but questions were directed to the Palace, which also did not issue a statement.

More than 1,400 soldiers from the Household Division and the King’s Troop of Royal Horse Artillery will take part, including 400 musicians from the Massed Bands.

They will parade in horse guards for the second of two formal reviews, while there will also be 250 foot guard soldiers along the route along The Mall.

The Ministry of Defense announces two more Trooping the Color parades: one reviewed by Major General James Bowder on June 1 and another by King Charles III on June 15. Buckingham Palace has not yet confirmed the monarch’s attendance.

Also this morning, the King was pictured with Chancellor Jeremy Hunt ahead of tomorrow’s Budget at a meeting in his private audience chamber at Buckingham Palace.

When Kate attends Trooping the Color, it will be almost exactly the same as when the King reviews the parade, except that fewer officers will travel on horseback.

The general public can watch from the stands at Horse Guards Parade by ordering tickets via the MoD website, which cost £15. The parade will end at 12:25 p.m.

There will also be limited viewing from public vantage points on The Mall or on the edge of St James’s Park overlooking Horse Guards Parade from 9am

Charles is receiving treatment for cancer and Kate is recovering from abdominal surgery, but it is understood that planning for major royal events continues and organizers remain flexible to possible changes.

Trooping the Color has marked the official birthday of the British sovereign for more than 260 years.

More than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians participate in the parade every June in a display of military precision and fanfare.

Crowds line the streets with flags as the parade travels from Buckingham Palace to The Mall to Horse Guards Parade, with members of the Royal Family on horseback and in carriages.

A royal salute greets the Sovereign as he arrives at the Horse Guard Parade before inspecting the troops, wearing the ceremonial uniform of red robes and bearskin hats.

The color or flag of the escorted regiment then passes through the ranks of the soldiers, and the commanding officer directs the soldiers with more than 100 words of command.

The foot guards walk past the Sovereign before returning to the Palace at the head of the soldiers.

The exhibition ends with a Royal Air Force flight being watched by the royals from the balcony of Buckingham Palace. There is also a 41-shot salvo from Green Park.

On a ticket booking website for Trooping the Colour, the Ministry of Defense said Kate, as a colonel in the Irish Guards, will carry out the inspection during the event on June 8.

A section on the event information read: ‘Trooping the Color reviewed by HRH The Princess of Wales is identical to Trooping the Color reviewed by Her Majesty the King, with the exception that some additional mounted officers travel when His Majesty the King is present. .

‘More than 1,400 soldiers from the Household Division and Royal Horse Artillery of the King’s Troop will take part, including 400 musicians from the Massed Bands, all of whom will parade in Horse Guards for the second of two formal reviews.

‘Trooping the Color reviewed by HRH The Princess of Wales also includes 250 Foot Guards soldiers who will line the processional route along The Mall.

“The soldiers will be inspected by HRH The Princess of Wales, Colonel of the Irish Guards.”

Kate will not return to her official duties until after Easter, and William has temporarily stepped back from his royal role to juggle caring for her and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The Princess was admitted to the London Clinic for a planned operation on January 16 and left the hospital on January 29, almost two weeks later.

The 42-year-old then returned to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor to join her three children. No details have been revealed about the princess’s condition.

However, Kensington Palace previously said it was not related to cancer and that Kate wanted her personal medical information to remain private.

A week after the princess left hospital, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III had been diagnosed with cancer and was receiving treatment.

It is believed that Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and her siblings, Pippa Matthews and James Middleton, are currently helping the Welsh.

Yesterday, TMZ published a photo of Kate near Windsor Castle in the passenger seat of a black Audi driven by her mother Carole Middleton.

The photo of the princess, who was wearing dark sunglasses, is the first of Kate since she was photographed during a Christmas Day walk in Sandringham, Norfolk.

Meanwhile, Kate’s “black sheep” uncle Gary Goldsmith, Carole’s brother, praised her as “perfect” when she entered the Celebrity Big Brother house last night.

He added that he could be watching the new ITV show “behind a sofa”.

When asked by host AJ Odudu if Kate would be watching, Goldsmith, 58, said: ‘If she is, I guess it will be behind a sofa… It will be nice in a nice house, I can guarantee that.’

In a pre-recorded interview that aired before entering the house, Goldsmith said, “She’s just perfect.”

“The first time I met William, Catherine was cooking and William said, ‘Hello, would you like a cup of tea?’ So normal.’

Towards the end of the show, she told housemate Fern Britton: “I absolutely adore my family” after the TV presenter praised her decision to take part in the show.

Speaking to The Sun before entering the house, Goldsmith described his niece as a “loving mother”.

“She’s beautiful on the outside, but more beautiful on the inside and she really is a loving mother… so the way the monarchy moves is family-centered.”

He added that he was “upset” with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “because they don’t put a stick in that speech and reinvent history.”

‘Throwing your family under the bus seemed inappropriate, especially what was happening with the Queen. I just thought it was totally unnecessary,” she added.
