The former president will triumphantly take the stage today on the grounds of the Butler Farm Show as many of his loyal supporters joyfully gathered to watch his speech.

Just minutes after Trump began speaking at the venue on July 13, gunman Thomas Crooks unleashed a hail of bullets, one of which grazed Trump in the right ear.
After the shooting, the 78-year-old clenched his fist and pleaded with his followers to “fight” as blood ran down his face.
In announcing his return to Butler, the Republican candidate said he planned to “celebrate a unifying vision for America’s future at an event like the world has never seen before.”
Since then, the assassination attempt has resonated deeply in the mountain community north of Pittsburgh.
“Butler’s Return,” “Let Me Get My Shoes,” “Cats, Dogs for Trump” and “I Was There” are just a few of the slogans appearing on T-shirts worn by rally attendees.

Greg Smith fired up his grills and began cooking outside the Brenckle’s Farms & Greenhouses property, just as he did that July day with family and friends.
“I saw the Secret Service blow his head off,” he told DailyMail.com at the time.
But today, Smith isn’t interested in speaking to the press and instead looks forward to eating, drinking and spending time with family and friends.
His father-in-law Gary Brenckle told DailyMail.com he was feeling positive about returning to the site for the rally.

“I feel good, I feel like they have enough police around,” he said, adding with a smile, “Hopefully they checked all the buildings and everything, looking up and going in too.”
The business was decorated with pumpkins, skeletons and Halloween-themed items.
“This is so much better, I love this time of year,” he said.
Pam Olthof, a Trump-themed vendor who was near the rally in July, also returned and sold a completely updated range of merchandise.
He said he had to return despite the shock of the experience of the last rally.

His supporters are waiting in anticipation for Trump to speak at a campaign rally.
When Parker first heard that Trump was returning there, he made it very clear that he wanted to return.
“It bothered me until I went online and registered,” Michael said. “Without hesitation.”
“I brought it to see a president and be part of history, I didn’t think we were going to be that part of history,” he said.
A former army soldier, he recalled hearing gunshots at the July demonstration.
“After the first two explosions I knew what they were, I grabbed my son and yelled at him: ‘Lower the f, that’s my military instinct.’
Michael said that after that experience he was disappointed to hear people who hate Trump express their regret over the shooter’s mistake.
“People wanted this to happen. I don’t understand why they feel that way.”
He admitted that if they hadn’t stopped to eat chili cheese fries that July day, they probably would have been in the stands where people were hit by bullets.
So, like last time, they arrived at the rally and stood in line to get something to eat. When asked what he was going to order, he smiled and said, “Chili cheese fries.”
