Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has referred to as on extra international locations to hitch the UK’s Tempest programme to construct the subsequent technology of fighter jets.
Italy and Sweden have already signalled their curiosity within the challenge – which is a partnership between the MoD and firms resembling BAE Programs, Rolls-Royce and the UK arm of Italian group Leonardo.

The feedback got here as Swedish defence large Saab prepares to take a position £50million within the challenge this week.

Wallace revealed that seven extra corporations are on board with the challenge which was launched in 2018: Bombardier, Collins, GE, GKN, Martin-Baker, Qinetiq and Thales.
