The Philadelphia Police Department issued an arrest warrant for state Rep. Kevin Boyle for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order.

The Philadelphia Police Department issued an arrest warrant for one of the state’s Democratic representatives.

Officials have asked state Rep. Kevin Boyle, 44, to turn himself in for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order.

It is unclear who was protected by the abuse order, but C.B.S. reports that the politician violated the conditions by sending text messages to his ex-wife.

According to Sergeant Eric Gripp, a police department spokesman, Boyle was expected to be charged with violation of a PFA by communication.

But this isn’t the Northeast Philadelphia representative’s first brush with the law.

In September 2021, Boyle was accused of harassment and violating a protection from abuse order issued by his wife and mother of his two young children.

Police have not confirmed whether the current warrant against Boyle is related to his 2021 arrest.

At the time, he was able to escape with a mental health evaluation and treatment plan in a deal with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

But despite being on a treatment plan, the politician was seen shouting ‘Do you know who I am?’ and he threatened to close a bar whose staff asked him to go on camera earlier this year.

In February, Boyle was heard abusing his clients and uttering bizarre conspiracies in a three-minute tirade.

He can be heard calling the people around him everything from “idiots” and “morons” to “traitors” and “actors,” with his rant liberally peppered with the f-word.

He threatened to “put an end to this bar” and block promotions from who he mistakenly thought were military men drinking at Gaul & Co Malt House in Rockledge, Pennsylvania.

‘You don’t think I’m going to prevent your promotion in the United States Army?’ She screamed in the video posted on social media.

People in the bar begged Boyle to leave, saying he was drunk or high, including one who said, “Listen, you had too much to drink, just go home.”

However, Boyle, 44, became more belligerent as the video progressed, declaring: “By the way, I can take this bar down.”

One of the customers was confused by his rant and said: “no one said a word to you, you’re the one who started shooting.”

‘Why do you act this way? Is it American military intelligence and traitors and…?’ he responded, prompting one customer to say that ‘he has no idea where the hell he is.’

“You idiots, you fucking morons… you’re all fucking actors, you’re not from here… you’re all fucking traitors, US military intelligence,” he continued.

‘You’re not going to do anything, you’re not going to do anything. Don’t you think I’m going to prevent your promotion in the United States Army?

The customers he was addressing told him they weren’t in the military and didn’t understand why he was ranting about military intelligence.

Finally, the waitress lost patience and yelled at him to “get out of the damn bar.”

Boyle refused to go as the waiter continued to tell him to come out and remove his hand from her face while pointing at her.

He asked if his bill had been paid and was told yes, before explaining: “I don’t want to be a jerk… I don’t want to be a jerk.”

“Well, you are,” the waiter responded, again telling him to leave.

Boyle said she was being “very aggressive” and told him “you can’t talk to me like that, I’ll close your damn bar, this bar is finished.”

‘Do you know who the fuck I am? This bar will be finished tomorrow, do you know who the fuck I am? he continued. He has since been banned from the bar.

Pennsylvania House Democratic leadership called the video “very concerning” and showed why access to mental health services was important.

‘Representative Boyle has been open about his personal challenges. “We are encouraged that our colleague and dear friend is seeking help,” he stated.

‘Our commitment to providing mental health services doesn’t stop at Capitol Steps.

“One of the main reasons we advocate so strongly for access to mental health is the reality that anyone can and do face challenges, and seeking treatment should be encouraged, not stigmatized.”

The Democrat, brother of Congressman Brendan Boyle, has a long history of mental health problems that almost cost him his position in 2022.

His recent scandals were an extraordinary fall from grace for the former rising star, who brought down a former Republican speaker of the House of Representatives who was only 30 years old.

Boyle’s downward spiral began in 2021 with a series of bizarre social media posts that began by calling a colleague a “total fraud” who was “playing the race card.”

“Isaiah Thomas is probably the worst member of the Philadelphia City Council,” he tweeted about his old friend, who was confused by the sudden attack.

‘In a city with a homicide rate so out of control, he is literally defending efforts to further restrict policing. Plus, he’s playing the race card. A total fraud!’

Further outbursts led to him being removed from his position as chairman of the House Finance Committee and restricted from accessing the Capitol building.

Republicans have since called on him to resign and “focus on his personal health and the future well-being of those around him.”
