Declan Rice laughed with his teammates on the Arsenal bench as Mikel Arteta’s team thrashed West Ham.
William Saliba, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel and Leandro Trossard had scored before half-time at the London Stadium, and the fans left en masse during the break.
Saka then added a second after the restart before Rice completed the rout with an explosive finish from outside the box to add insult to injury for the hapless Hammers.
As he walked away, the England international decided not to celebrate, shortly afterwards he was replaced by Mohamed Elneny with the result beyond doubt.
Although he refrained from expressing his enthusiasm on the field, Rice couldn’t help but smile on the bench as he spoke with Saka and Ben White about his goal.
