Declan Donnelly needed medical attention after being bitten by a spider on the set of I’m A Celebrity.
The presenter, 49, was checked by professionals after noticing a mark on his neck.
Speaking on Instagram Live, his co-host Ant McPartlin revealed: “We’ve had quite a bit of drama not only on the show but off the show as well, because Dec had a spider on his neck and he was bitten by a spider.” And they called the doctor to take a look.
Dec then shared a picture of the spider that bit him and said it jumped into his script before biting his neck.
Joking about the incident, Dec shared: “The doctor said I was lucky to be alive. If he wasn’t so fit, healthy and masculine, maybe he wouldn’t have survived.
However, Ant quickly laughed: “No he didn’t, he said it was a jumping spider and it was absolutely fine.”

Australia is known for its high percentage of deadly arachnids, including funnel-web and redback spiders. Both contain enough poison to cause death.
The country is also home to white-tailed spiders and wolf spiders; Bites from any of them can cause skin necrosis, commonly known as gangrene.
Before the incident, Tulisa Contostavlos became the third contestant to be eliminated from this year’s show.
The N-Dubz star looked visibly disappointed when her name was called, as she found herself in the bottom two with Oti Mabuse after the public vote.
Leaving the jungle to join Ant and Dec, the singer looked deflated as she told the hosts: “I’m not going to lie like it’s hard to be there.”
And fans were shocked by the result as they took to Twitter to share their surprise, exclaiming: “Ahh Tulisa should have been there for much longer.”
They wrote: ‘Ahh Tulisa should have been there much longer’; ‘NOT TULISA’; ‘Am I baffled that Tulisa is gone tonight? I thought I was a finalist for sure’;
‘F*** OFF I thought Tulisa would last much longer. It was fucking exuberant, you can tell there aren’t enough people educated in the magic of n-dubz’;
‘Okay, it’s not funny, now get him back in’; ‘I didn’t see it coming’; ‘What do you mean Tulisa has been expelled?!’;

Ant also had an encounter with a spider on set earlier this week, and shared a video of a huge Hunter curled up on the ceiling.
“I’ve always liked Tulisa since she started in N-Dubz, she’s been a great campmate and she’s very charming”;
Another noted Tulisa’s surprised reaction as they wrote: “I think Tulisa is pretty surprised I’m out.”
Meanwhile, another fan wrote: “I refuse to believe she got fewer votes than Melvin.”
Speaking about her time at the camp with Ant and Dec, Tulisa admitted: “It doesn’t feel real, I can’t believe what I’ve just done.”
When asked what she had learned about herself, she added: “I don’t know, I guess just stick to your convictions and stay yourself.”
While Tulisa found herself in the bottom two with Oti, the singer confessed that the professional dancer is her winner, gushing: “She’s been my rock, she’s one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met in my life.” She is my soul sister.’
Earlier that night, Tulisa became the third contestant to be eliminated this year.
