Scottish actor Stevie Allen has passed away.

The star, best known for starring in the beloved comedy series Still Game, died Thursday, according to what was reported the sun.

Stevie is best known for playing Monkey Franky on the series, appearing in three episodes from 2002 to 2004.

Still Game has also starred star names including Ford Kiernan, Paul Riley, and Jane McCarry.

Jane is among the first to pay tribute, having first met during her freshman year at King’s Park High School in Glasgow where he was a science technician.

Stevie starred in the first series of the Still Game series, when Jack and Victor from the series break down his door after finding a dead neighbour, and are greeted with a mass of clutter strewn across the floor.

He also appeared in a series of other shows including Taggart and Macbeth.

Still Game ran into 2019, with the ninth and final series being one of the first programs shown on BBC Scotland when it first launched.

The show was nominated for Best Entertainment Program at Baftas Scotland, with McCarry winning Best Actress in 2007.

It was also nominated for Best Comedy Program at the National Television Awards and won Best TV Program at the Scottish Comedy Awards in its final year.

After starring in Still Game, Stevie begins working as a paramedic for the Scottish Ambulance Service.

His colleagues took to Facebook to pay tribute, with one writing: “Unfortunately, Stevie Allen passed away yesterday.

He was a paramedic with us and it would be a great loss. What a legend man.

Another said: “He used to come to the bar I worked at a few years ago in Jidpur. Lovely man.
