Officials in Montreal have ruled that the death of model Rick Genest in 2018 was not a suicide as initially thought, but rather a coincidental death.
Coroner Mélissa Gagnon of the Bureau du Coroner said Monday that the 32-year-old's fall from a third-floor balcony in Le Plateau-Mont-Royal on August 1, 2018 was not intentional.
& # 39; Some good friends reported hearing voices, especially when using resources, & # 39; said the coroner. & # 39; Mr. Genest, however, did not appear to be in a state of psychosis or delirium when he entered the balcony. & # 39;

Nested was & # 39; strongly intoxicated & # 39; at the time of his death, because the toxicological results indicated that blood alcohol levels nearly tripled the legal limit, in addition to cannabis, according to the coroner.
& # 39; Given that habit and his very advanced state of intoxication, it is likely that Mr. Nested accidentally fell off the balcony, & # 39; said the coroner.
At the time of his death, according to TMZ, his manager Karim Leduc said that his family believed it was a tragic accident and that Genest fell because he leaned back on the railing while smoking. They also say they believe he would have left a suicide letter if it had been intentional.
Genest played in Lady Gaga & # 39; s music video for Born This Way, which was released in February 2011. Although the singer had not covered the latest developments on her social media from late Monday, after his death last year, she insisted on everyone who suffered from psychological problems to seek help.
