It’s been eleven years since Dead Island 2 was announced. In 2012, the German development studio Yager Development took over the project, which was withdrawn from them in 2015.
For some time now, Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver, who are now responsible, have actually set a launch date for Dead Island 2. It should start on April 21, 2023. And in one Message on the Dead Island website the system requirements have now also been published.

Dead Island 2: System Requirements

The system requirements do not show any extreme abnormalities. However, we assume that you can still manage 1080p (Full HD) and 60 FPS with a slightly weaker processor.
Requirements: Minimum
Unless you have the latest hardware and are happy with 1080p and 30 FPS, these are your minimum requirements:

- FPS: 30
- CPU: AMD FX-9590 or Intel Core i7-7700HQ
- R.A.M.: 10GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 480 or Geforce GTX 1060

Requirements: Recommended
If you want to play in Full HD and achieve 60 frames per second, you have to start with at least hardware in this category.

If you want to play with a higher resolution and 60 FPS, you have to bring this hardware:

- FPS: 60
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X or Intel Core i5-12600KF
- R.A.M.: 16 GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT

Requirements: Ultra
Of course, to be able to enjoy the game in all its glory, you also need correspondingly strong hardware:
