It is believed that a young couple who died during a camping trip after a steep staircase over a swimming hole have fallen to their death.
The bodies of Simon Walker (24) and Sherei Anderson (32) were found on Monday evening in Goldsborough, in the far north of Queensland.
The couple were reported missing after they didn't come to work on Monday.
Cairns Police Detective Acting Inspector Ed Kinbacher said the couple died as a result of & # 39; accident & # 39 ;.
& # 39; We believe this incident is a direct result of accident and not of third party involvement & # 39 ;, he told the media on Tuesday.
& # 39; It seems that they have fallen into the preparatory phases (of the investigation) and made the unwise decision to climb the rather steep waterfalls that were actually closed above that swimming hole … and fell to their deaths. & # 39;
