Dax Shepard shared his reaction to wife Kristen Bell’s kissing scenes with her Nobody Wants This co-star Adam Brody.
Shepard, 49, joked that he “didn’t even know she could kiss like that” while discussing their sizzling on-screen chemistry in the Netflix romantic comedy, which has been renewed for a second season.
While appearing at the New Yorker Festival on Saturday, he recalled recording his first podcast episode with his wife Bell, 44.
When asked about the “amazing chemistry” between them, he joked that it “wasn’t as good as her and Brody’s.”

He started by saying that he watched the show with his friend.
“We watched that scene together, the kiss scene, which I would say is the best kiss scene ever filmed.”
He recalled, “And my best friend, Aaron, since childhood, says to me, ‘Does he ever kiss you like that?'”
In response, Shepard said he responded, “No, I didn’t even know she could kiss like that.”
Nobody Wants This is a hit romantic comedy that follows Joanne, a sex-agnostic podcast host played by Bell, and Noah, a newly single rabbi played by Brody.
The unlikely couple falls in love, but their relationship becomes strained by their different religious beliefs and meddling families.
Earlier this month, the hit series, which is loosely based on creator Erin Foster’s true love story with her husband, was renewed for a second season.

She added: ‘My husband said the same thing. Watching the first episode, he said, “Oh my God, I want you to kiss him so badly.”
Bell also acknowledged that although her and Brody’s scenes are sensual and passionate, their performances are calculated and logistical, emphasizing that it’s all acting.
“I’m not trying to be reductionist, but I think there’s something mathematical about it,” he explained.
“You have two actors who know how to look silly into each other’s eyes, and you have to have the confidence to expand on that and really establish the anticipatory value before the kiss, which I think is really important.”
