Dax Shepard is setting the record straight about his sex life with wife Kristen Bell.
The Without A Paddle star, 49, debunked rumors that he and Kristen are “swingers” on Monday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.
“There was a very exciting tabloid story that we were Hollywood swingers and we were having swinger parties – it was all over the tabloids,” Dax told host Barrymore.
The rumors were so widespread that Kristen and Dax’s famous friends, including Jimmy Kimmel, began jokingly reaching out to them to offer “invitations.”
‘My favorite part of what happened was that we got a lot of messages from other friends of ours saying, ‘How could you not invite me to the swingers party?’

“They were joking, of course, because they know us and they know we don’t host swingers parties.”
He then shared the “funny” text message Kimmel sent to him and Kristen. “I just thought it was cool to get a text from Kimmel saying, ‘I feel really hurt that Molly (Kimmel’s wife) and I weren’t invited to this swingers party.'”
Dax added with a laugh: “It was a lot of fun.”
Although the rumors aren’t true, Barrymore did ask Dax if he and Kristen have “anyone they fantasize about sleeping with.”
He replied: “There are a lot of attractive couples out there, but no, we haven’t crossed that line with any of them.”
Dax revealed that his and Kristen’s favorite couple is Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen, who will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary next year.
“You know who we’re most in love with? We’re in love with Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen,” he enthused.
“My God, they are a dream couple. You just want to be in their marriage.
“It’s not so much that Kristen wants to take me with her or I want to take her with her; we just want to be in her marriage,” Dax explained.
Next month, Dax and Kristen will celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary on October 17.

The couple first met in 2007, three years after meeting for the first time at a friend’s birthday dinner. Dax proposed to Kristen in 2010.
They married in 2013, and Kristen proposed to Dax again that year before exchanging vows at a Beverly Hills courthouse.
The beloved Hollywood couple are parents to two daughters: Lincoln, 11, and Delta, nine.

And it turns out that a piece of gum is the reason for their union.
Kristen explained on the podcast that she and Dax first met at a mutual friend’s birthday dinner in 2004, and that her first impression of him wasn’t the best.
She described him as too “talkative” and said they had “no chemistry,” but that all changed when they met at a hockey game in 2007 and he made a very bold decision.
The Frozen star said Dax asked her for some gum, but when she revealed she didn’t have any left, he proceeded to take the gum out of her mouth and put it in his own.
As unhealthy as it sounds, she admitted that the interaction left her “totally in love” with the actor.
‘(Canadian producer) Shauna Robertson introduced us,’ the mother of two shared during the interview.
The rumors were so widespread that Kristen and Dax’s famous friends, including Jimmy Kimmel, began jokingly reaching out to them to ask for “invitations.”
“They were joking, of course, because they know us and they know that we don’t organize swinger parties,” he clarified.
‘I met Shauna when she produced Forgetting Sarah Marshall. And she had a lot of interactions with Dax through the comedy world. They were very close.
‘(We were both invited) to Shauna’s birthday party in 2004 at a little sushi restaurant. All I remember from that night was, “That guy (Punk’d) talks a lot. Wow, he’s a big talker.” We had no chemistry that night.’
Kristen explained that years later she noticed him at a Detroit Kings hockey game, with one of their mutual friends named Michael.
“I had just gotten out of a relationship (with Kevin Mann). I was new to the scene and ready to meet people,” she continued.
“I didn’t know Dax, but I knew Michael. I was like, ‘I’m single, I haven’t been single in years, this is going to be great, I’m going to go flirt with Michael.'”
“But Michael was talking to someone else, thank God because that changed my life, so Dax came up to me and I said, ‘Oh, you were at Shauna’s dinner.'”
‘We started talking and I was chewing gum and he said, “Do you have any more gum?”
“I said, ‘No, just this,’ and somewhat timidly took it out of my mouth. He took it from me and said, ‘I’ll take it.'”
“Then he put it in his mouth and I thought, ‘This guy wants to fuck me.’ I was absolutely in love after that.”
The actress explained that after that “they started dating” and she felt “like a switch had been turned on” that told her: “This is it for me.”
But she admitted that Dax felt things were moving too fast and broke up with her shortly after.

But that didn’t last long, because four days later he called her and told her he wanted her back.
“He had been on another date and he said he had been sitting there with another girl and he was just wondering, ‘What am I doing?'” she recalled.
“He called me and said he had made a big mistake and would like to try again.”
Kristen said that since then, “every discovery” she makes about Dax leaves her “more and more impressed.”
“Dax is much more than that, he is a much deeper well than anyone imagines,” he said effusively.
‘He’s very protective, he’s very loyal, he’s curious, he’s constantly researching things to get new perspectives, he challenges himself, he’s self-critical.’
