The comedy actress said she hoped her daughter would “come to the other side” of their relationship after years of difficulties.
In an interview two years ago she said: ‘I expected that if you take care of it, like a tomato plant, it will grow towards the light, and surely if your mother is someone who wants to have fun with you and have adventures and read with you and spend time with you, how could you have a war?
“But I don’t have a kid who wants to read with me and have adventures with me, I have a different kind of kid who faces a different kind of challenges and that’s been my lesson.
‘Our relationship exists in a kind of strange process of peacetime, small battles, war.
‘Peacetime is much more than the other two energies, but we have our wars.’
In May 2020, Billie was sentenced to eight months in jail, suspended for 12 months, for harassing her ex-boyfriend.
Billie was also given a five-year restraining order preventing her from contacting the victim.
He had pleaded guilty to malicious communication at an earlier hearing at Truro Crown Court after denying a charge of controlling or coercive behaviour.

Dawn has been rocking her natural grey locks for the past few years.
The offences occurred over a five-month period in Dobwalls, Cornwall, between 2018 and 2019.
Later that year, Dawn spoke candidly about her blended family and revealed she was “ready” to become a grandmother.
Dawn is also stepmother to her husband Mark Bignell’s two children, Lily, 33, and Olly, 30.
She said Mirror“Family is everything to me. That’s where I know I belong.”
She added: “I am a mother of three children who are no longer children and that is my greatest challenge and also my greatest pleasure.”
Dawn revealed that she calls her children her “lovelies” and went on to say that she is excited to become a grandmother one day when her children are ready.
She said: ‘I’m ready. I’m a grandmother in waiting. I’m not pushing it, but I’m ready when my kids are ready. I’m going to look forward to that time.’
However, the comedian cheekily added that she might have to step in if her future grandchildren come up with a funny nickname for her like “smelly.”
Both mother and daughter were carrying plastic bags in their hands.
They saw them getting into a taxi on the street.
