He said: “I had to throw myself onto a bed at one point, at some point in what was going to be some kind of erotic ecstasy, and I timed it a little bit wrong.” I ended up breaking my knee on the bed frame.
To which Alex replied: ‘He does his own trick.’
“I accidentally do my own trick,” David added before Pandora joked, “Thank you so much for admitting those little mistakes.”
David joked: “It wasn’t my sexiest move” before Pandora tried to reassure him by adding: “No, well, it depends on what you like.”
The raunchy show is based on the 1988 novel by famed writer Jilly Cooper and follows the cutthroat world of independent television in 1986.
The story focuses on the tense rivalry between David’s character, Lord Tony Baddingham, and Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell), while Emily plays the promiscuous Sarah Stratton.
In the adaptation, Disney+ has promised to bring a ‘2020s lens’ to the ’80s classic: a notoriously politically incorrect story about sex and scandals among the English social elite.
The bold eight-part series will air from October 18, but many viewers are wondering how its themes would translate for a modern audience.
