David Tennant has unveiled a sweet tattoo in tribute to his wife Georgia as she prepares to celebrate her 40th birthday.
The Doctor Who star, 53, showed off the new ink in snaps taken by tattoo artist Sym, who posts theflavouroftears on Instagram.
The tattoo consisted of a delicate letter G in the appropriately named Georgia font on the side of David’s wrist.
In their post, Sym gushed that they felt very honored to give the ink to David and shared a photo with the actor after completing the tattoo.
They captioned the post: “The cat is out of the bag; it was an honor to make this special ‘G’, in the Georgia font for David Tennant’s first tattoo.” A wonderful ode to @georgiatennantofficial for her birthday.
‘Fun fact: one of the first tattoos I did was ‘BadWolf’, so this was a wonderful coming full circle moment and closes out this year’s tattoos.

Georgia will celebrate her 40th birthday on Christmas Day, just days before she and David celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary on New Year’s Eve.
The couple married in 2011 and have five children, Olive, 12, Wilfred, ten, Doris, eight, and Birdie, four, with David also adopting Georgia’s eldest son Ty, 21.
It comes after it was confirmed that David will return as host of the 2025 British Academy Film Awards, after impressing viewers by headlining the glitzy ceremony earlier this year.
The star Mary Queen of Scots will present the ceremony from the Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Center in central London, and will be broadcast on bbc One and iPlayer, Britbox in the US and Australia.
