David Koch reveals the ruthless sleigh he rode on the street the day he announced he was leaving Sunrise

David Koch was brutally sled by an “anti-vaxxer” who yelled at him from across the street after announcing he was resigning from Sunrise.
The TV personality said that while he received numerous well wishes after announcing he was leaving the breakfast show after 21 years, not everyone was sad to see him leave.
“Thank you to everyone who has been so kind,” he said Tuesday.
“Incredible messages, a beautiful stylish one from Karl Stefanovic, it was so much fun, I really loved that one, but so many great messages.
The Daily Mail coverage was frenzied – even a story about ‘Kochie’s hot son hiding in the family business’.
But when Koch and his wife Libby went for lunch Monday after the announcement, a heckler approached him from the other side of the road.
“He says, ‘I’m glad you’re resigning, you’re just a paid mouthpiece for the big pharma industry,'” he said as his co-hosts burst into laughter.

An anti-vaxxer. He was really mean, he started yelling at me across the road and Lib said “what the heck?”.
Co-host Natalie Barr said between laughs, “We take the good with the bad, and we know it.”
When announcing his resignation, Koch said he had loved every minute of his time over the past two decades.
“I started here before Facebook, before Instagram, before Twitter and iPhones. That’s how old I am,” he continued.
“I’ve been privileged to have so many great adventures, to meet so many different people and to have so many moments of history in the making.”

Koch said he looks forward to more time to travel and focus on his family and business interests, including Pinstripe Media and the business channel Ausbiz.
His 21-year stint as host makes him the longest-running morning presenter in Australian TV history.
Aussie athletics great Matt Shirvington will replace Kochie in the top job.
It is clear that Koch himself gave Shirvington his ‘blessing’.
“David believes Matt is a good fit for him and thinks he will do a fantastic job,” an insider told the Daily Mail Australia.
‘He’s been filling in for David for a few years now and he’s made his mark. Viewers love him and he has a very good reputation internally, so it’s a natural step up for him.”
