A man was arrested at a property in Fifield, just under 100 kilometers north-west of Forbes, and taken to Parkes police station, where he is assisting police with investigations.

The man has not been charged and the police investigation is ongoing.

In a touching post shared on social media, the mother of one referred to her five-year-old son as her “whole world.”

The tragedy comes after the mother of one shared a chilling revelation about her return to her hometown several years ago.

“I just moved into a new house that is haunted by a little boy,” she shared in an online post.

The exact circumstances of Mrs Ticehurst’s death have yet to be established. A spokesman for Ticehurst’s employer declined to comment.

It comes after at least 24 women were murdered by men in Australia so far in 2024.

Hannah McGuire, 23, from Clunes, Victoria, was found dead near Ballarat on April 5. She was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend Lachlan Young, 21.

Meanwhile, Patrick Stephenson, 22, was charged last month with the murder of missing mother Samantha Murphy. Mr Stephenson is before court.
