David Duchovny is talking about a missed opportunity regarding his role as Carrie Bradshaw’s high school boyfriend Jeremy in Sex And The City.
While promoting her new podcast Fail Better, which is about “learning from failure and how it shapes our lives,” the Californication star, 63, revealed that she wishes she had returned to the hit HBO series for more episodes.
Duchovny appeared in the sixth season episode titled Boy, Interrupted, which aired in August 2003.
In it, the two old loves take steps to rekindle their romance when Jeremy drops a bombshell on Carrie and tells her he’s checking into a psychiatric facility.
At the time, there was talk of getting Duchovny to reprise his role, but it never came to fruition before the show ended its six-season run in February 2004.
“We had talked about doing more and we never ended up doing it,” Duchovny, 63, said. People. “I would have loved to have done more of that show.”
