Even David Beckham has gotten involved in the annual Elf on the Shelf Christmas tradition.
The former footballer, 49, shared a joyful clip of himself finding an Elf scene in his office early on Monday morning.
There were several elves perched on top of the speaker in the office and some had even fallen to the floor.
David shared the video and wrote the caption: “This is getting out of hand… it’s definitely Christmas at the office.”
It comes after David last week paid tribute to much-loved Manchester United receptionist Kath Phipps after she died aged 85.
United announced the news of his passing on Thursday and shared a heartfelt 454-word statement in honor of Phipps, who worked for 55 years in a variety of roles at the club.
In the tribute, United praised Phipps as a “ubiquitous figure since the late 1960s” and a “one-woman institution”.
A number of former United players and staff also paid tribute to Phipps and Beckham wrote his own message to him on Thursday night.
Taking to Instagram alongside a photo of him holding Phipps’ hand, Beckham said: “Forever in our hearts… The first and last face I would always see was Kath sitting in the reception at Old Trafford waiting to give me my tickets for the party.” .
“She was the heartbeat of Manchester United, everyone knew who Kath was and everyone adored her.

Phipps, who appeared in Beckham’s Netflix documentary about his life, began working at United as the club’s first switchboard operator back in 1968, during Sir Matt Busby’s reign.
In May 2022, after more than five decades of service, she was honored with a Service to Football Award; Beckham admitted the “incredible” receptionist “really deserved” the honor for her services to football and United in general.
