Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy criticized Simone Biles for wearing a jacket that featured Green Bay Packers-related imagery during a Chicago Bears preseason game.
The custom jacket Biles wore featured images of her husband, Jonathan Owens, who played in Green Bay last season.
In an episode of his podcast ‘BFFs,’ Portnoy criticized Biles for her sporting and fashion mistakes.
“This would infuriate me if I were a Bears fan… Bears-Packers are the Hatfields and McCoys of the NFL, Red Sox-Yankees,” Portnoy explained to his co-host Bri Chickenfry.
‘So you go to a Bears game next to him wearing his archrival’s jacket, not his best one.’

Portnoy said Biles should not have worn a jacket with Green Bay Packers logos to a Bears game. She was wearing a custom jacket with the logo of her husband, a former Green Bay player.
As she walked the runway, Biles also sported a protective boot on her left foot due to a calf injury she sustained at the Olympics. She completed her look with a pair of reflective silver sunglasses, a black Prada bucket hat and a Balenciaga bag.
Despite her attempts to make a touching and supportive gesture toward Owens, Biles found herself thrust into one of the league’s fiercest rivalries thanks to that jacket and fans were far from impressed.
“Simone Biles should be stripped of all her medals after wearing Packers gear while cheering on the Bears,” one social media user posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Yeah, yeah, I get it, her husband played for the Packers and it’s an Owens-themed jacket, but this is just wrong.”
Others echoed the same sentiment and questioned Biles’ seemingly oblivious knowledge of soccer.
“With all due respect, Simone Biles needs to throw that jacket away ASAP,” another said. “How could she walk in with it?”
“Obviously she supports her husband Jonathan Owens and is a top Olympian so she gets a pass…but it’s still one of the oldest rivalries in all of football and she rocks #GoPackGo logos,” The Athletic’s Chase Daniel posted.
“Free her husband now!” chimed in one particularly furious Bears fan, while another added: “She’s ridiculously oblivious to her surroundings and it’s an insult to her husband.”
As she walked the sidelines, Biles also sported a protective boot on her left foot.
Football fans took to social media after they were left infuriated by his match-day rage.
But she ignored any criticism and after the contest, she and a group of friends went out to enjoy a luxurious dinner at the Maple & Ash restaurant.
A special menu awaited Biles at the restaurant, listing the food available for purchase but including the words “F*CKING OLYMPIC CHAMPION!”
Biles and her assembled guests also raised their glasses in a candlelit toast.
Owens played one season in Green Bay last year before moving across Lake Michigan to Chicago earlier this year.
