Barstool CEO Dave Portnoy bet $600,000 on UConn to win the NCAA tournament and repeat as national champion.
Portnoy placed the bet via DraftKings, with the Huskies at +360 odds to win the tournament.
The first repeat champion since Florida in 2006 and 2007 would earn Portnoy $2.76 million.
UConn is the No. 1 seed in the tournament and was picked by nearly 25 percent of the field to win the tournament.
The Huskies will face No. 16 seed Stetson in their first NCAA Tournament game this year on Friday.
UConn was chosen as champion by nearly a quarter of those who filled out the categories

“I made a big bet. I really don’t think anyone can play #uconn,” Portnoy said on X. “Like +360, it’s not great odds, but at the same time great odds. Yes, I’m afraid everyone will choose them.
Portnoy placed a few other March Madness bets, including $25,000 on No. 11 seed New Mexico to win the tournament.
The Lobos have a +2200 chance of winning the NCAA tournament. The winners of the Mountain West Conference tournament becoming national champions would earn Portnoy $575,000.
New Mexico also opens the NCAA tournament Friday against No. 6 seed Clemson.
For the Lobos to win the NCAA Tournament, they will likely have to win six straight games as underdogs.
